Grayed Out

Hi everyone! Excited to share my second blog post with you all today. If you follow me on Instagram, then it’s so secret that I love neutrals. I’ll throw color and prints in occasionally, but most days of the week you’ll find me in a neutral outfit. Not only can you easily transition pieces to create more outfits, but neutrals are forever classic.

One of my favorite neutral colors is gray. I live in it! It’s somewhat moody, but not as harsh as black. So this outfit is one that I reach for often – or at least a variety of it.

One thing I like to do when wearing neutrals is to go monochrome with certain aspects of my look. For example, this gray peacoat with a distinguished collar on top of a chunky, oversized gray turtleneck. The grays are the same tone, and I think that looks chic paired together. The ripped, cropped jeans makes this look more casual for day time or a low-key date night or meeting.

For accessories, I stayed in the gray family to keep the monochrome vibes going. How fun are these metallic Manolo Blahniks? I actually get a lot of wear out of these and think the metallic finish adds a cool edge. My bag is a much darker taupey gray, but it works to balance things out and introduce a new shade. The bag is M2malletier and I love the detailed metal handle, which ties in the metallic from the pumps.
