Spring Fashion Trends on a Budget

Today is the official first day of spring and I cannot begin to express how excited I am to finally freshen up my wardrobe with new pieces. Since we are currently in the transitional stage between cold and warm, it can be tricky to decide what to buy now. So I’ve partnered with Walmart to share the spring fashion trends I’m most excited for – which you can shop on a budget.

I wear denim year-round, but something about jeans and warm weather feels appropriately Americana. In honor of spring, I paired a Lord & Taylor white tee with Calvin Klein jeans and a staple trench which I got from Walmart. Then, I elevated it with strappy heels. It’s a simple ensemble that’s perfect for errands and a quick lunch date. Although I opted for black, note that denim will be taken to a whole new level with brighter colors, updated silhouettes, and head-to-toe denim looks. I know I can’t wait to pair these jeans with an oversized denim jacket on the weekends.

Romantic Tops & Dresses

With the arrival of warmer weather, I start to lean more towards lighter, airy tops and dresses so I am really glad to see the abundance of feminine pieces. This particular aesthetic translates into fluttery tops and dresses spruced up with delicate lace and ruffles, floral patterns, and pastel tones. I am looking forward to adding versions of this trend into my own style via soft off-the-shoulder tops, sweetheart necklines, and floral dresses.

Utility

The beautiful thing about personal style is the fact that you don’t have to narrow yourself down to one specific look. I love mixing different aesthetics like cargo pants and a ruffle top, which is why I’m obsessed with the utility trend. You can really balance out a feminine look with the ruggish appeal of utility details such as camo and khaki colors. At Walmart, I spotted tons of camo jackets, linen cargos, and safari-inspired pieces that fall right into this trend.

Bold Stripes

When it comes to prints, spring is the perfect time to get back into stripes. They are coming back bolder than ever this season with horizontal and vertical stripes printed on jumpsuits, pants, knit tops, and accessories. You can experiment with the trend by sticking to classic varieties in neutrals or brighter alternatives in yellow and blue hues.
