The Fall 2020 Bag Trends I’m Loving

It’s time to hang up the beach tote for a more seasonably appropriate accessory. A new season brings new trends, and bags are one of my favorite accessories I like to keep my eye on. I’ve been loving all the fall trends so far this year and bags have been no different. The bag trends ranging in different sizes, fabrics, and shapes match perfectly with this year’s fall fashion trends and help elevate and polish any outfit. Here are the Fall 2020 bag trends I’m loving right now.

Geometric shapes

Geometric shapes have become one of the most coveted bag trends this fall. Think: triangles, rectangles, squares, circles, and hexagons. These sharp, structured shapes will add the perfect clean, sophisticated finish to your fall outfit. I’ve especially been loving big, structured totes.

Padded leather

I love the soft, pillow-like volume of padded leather bags, especially if it’s in the form of a clutch or a top handle mini bag. This trend is definitely a must-have item for Fall 2020. It’s the finishing touch that will help soften any outfit yet keep it chic, especially when it comes to neutrals.

Chain links

Thick chains have been everywhere lately – on jewelry, shoes, and now bags. From metal rope handles to chain detailing, this trend gives a classic accessory and edgy update. Chains have been trending in jewelry all summer long, which I’ve been loving, so I’m glad to see it working its way onto fall bags this season.

Mini bags

Mini bags are a Summer 2020 trend that’s easily transitioning into fall. Just like mini sunglasses, I love how the mini bag trend adds a chic, vintage, and nostalgic feel to any outfit.

Croc-embossed

Animal print is a Fall 2020 trend you should definitely take note of, especially croc-embossed textures. Tall croc-embossed boots have been one of my fall must-haves, but now I’m excited to add this print to my fall accessories. I’ve been loving this particular trend in bold colors like marigold, silver, and red.

Textured leather

Textured bags are one of the most noteworthy trends this fall. I’ve been especially loving woven, braided and quilted bags. It’s a subtle detail I love adding to my more neutral outfits.
