The Spring LBD – Lolario/Style

I’m not sure why, but I feel so excited and ready for spring fashion this year. Living in southern California, I’m lucky in that I usually get to experience warm temperatures year round. By California standards, though, it has been pretty cool lately, so maybe that’s why I’m so excited for spring style and this new little black dress from Banana Republic.

Banana Republic is one of those stores I rely on for classic pieces that are versatile. The price point is also amazing, which never hurts. They recently came out with their new spring collection, which includes this LBD, that was inspired by the beauty and effortlessness of true California style. And this dress is exactly like that!

To showcase its versatility, I styled it two different ways. The first has more of a date night vibe with the LBD being the star, of course, but perfectly accentuated by this amazing leopard print coat, which is also from Banana Republic. The combo feels really sexy to me, which is right in line with my usual date night style. I added a strappy pair of stilettos to finish off the look because what’s an LBD without a good pair of heels?

For the second look, I focused more on a business chic style. It just goes to show how much wear you can get out of one dress when you can take it from officewear to evening. I went with a classic trench for this look. Banana Republic does trench coats extremely well, so if don’t already have one in wardrobe, I highly recommend this one.

Layering is also always a good way to take one piece and wear it several times, but have each outfit look totally different. For the shoe, to keep it more office-friendly, I went with a closed toe sock bootie. And then I added a structured brown bag large enough for all my work gadgets, which made the ideal office accessory.
